Last night I attended my last class of the semester in Salt Lake. This was my Learning Theories class. I learned about all the different learning theories beginning with behaviorism on through constructivism and motivation. I still have a personal teaching philosophy statement paper to finish.
Today I am finishing the last touches on my group final project for Instructional Design. My group designed a learning module for teaching youth how do family history interviews and make a blog. This has been really fun. Kate has helped film some interviews as examples. Her blog can be seen here: MyFamilyHistoryInterviews.blogspot.com I have also made a resource blog with materials and review for the class. It is located here: FamilyHistoryInterview.blogspot.com
My other class is a Leadership in Technology course. I still have a paper to submit about a problem involving technology that I have solved using my newly learned leadership skills.
Overall, this semester was great! However, I do not think I will take 9 credits in one semester again. I have found that my family life is too unpredictable to expect that I will have the time I need to do that much work. This semester, I also taught two classes at BYU, two classes online at SLCC and Kate broke her leg.
